concept details :: music video & cover art
this video for non-functional harmony was the first I had made for a fully percussion-free ambient track. as such, I kept the pace of the audioreactive components gentle and slow.
the goal for the cover art, created by rendering and editing a still frame from the video, was to create an eye-grabbing "splash" effect while simultaneously retaining an unobtrusive and quasi-organic aesthetic befitting the peaceful music. visually, it is an homage to the cover artwork for djuna barnes's 1936 novel nightwood.
